In a coastal forest, two siblings entangled with a mysterious tree are aided by a reluctant recluse.  As he guides them out along a meandering path, the old man’s attentiveness to the injured and speechless boy’s altered experience reveals an unexpected longing for human connection.

lucian patton

Lucian Patton is a filmmaker, writer, director and actor based in Los Angeles and San Francisco, California. He is currently studying filmmaking at UCLA. He loves to surf, go on long hikes, read and write poetry, play guitar, and occasionally get his arm stuck in trees. He has a history in theater, and has both performed in and directed several theatrical productions. Lately, he has been writing and directing short films in both LA and SF. He recently returned from a trip to Greece in which he worked as a teaching assistant for Sid and Nancy Ganis at the American Hellenic University. Lucian is passionate about the environment, Zen, working with children, jumping in cold water, and being present in the natural world.

xanthe patton

Xanthe Patton is a young artist who has a deep love for painting, poetry, jazz, Tai Chi, horses, singing, writing, dancing & acting. She has been studying Shakespeare and stage combat/sword fighting with Shakespearience! for the last 5 years. Credits include the roles; Portia, Lady Macbeth, Macduff, Puck, and Mark Antony. Other musical theater credits include Tallulah in Bugsy Malone, Matilda in Matilda, Little Red in Hoodwinked, Orpheus in They Way Down, and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet. Currently Xanthe is a sophomore at Urban School of San Francisco and is preparing to direct a production of Lorca’s Blood Wedding this winter with her peers at school.

Jon Brunner has been a painter, a cook, and a greensman.  Since retiring as an artist he has poured his creative energy into his extensive garden at his home in Bolinas, CA.  “All the Branches in Me” is his first film.
